We know that there is a gender diversity issue in Wikipedia. For instance, only 19% of biographies are about women in Wikipedia in English. In a collection of notebooks, I’ve designed developed new tools to measure gender diversity at the article level:
- Gender diversity in Wikipedia articles: evidence from some selected academic disciplines in the English Wikipedia / PAC / Observable
- Gender diversity in Wikipedia articles: evidence from some selected academic disciplines in Wikipedia in French / PAC / Observable
- Explore gender diversity in a single Wikipedia article / PAC / Observable
Those tools are useful to see if women and other minorised gender groups are represented in an article.
