Using Observable to study gender diversity in Wikipedia articles

We know that there is a gender diversity issue in Wikipedia. For instance, only 19% of biographies are about women in Wikipedia in English. In a collection of notebooks, I’ve designed developed new tools to measure gender diversity at the article level:

Those tools are useful to see if women and other minorised gender groups are represented in an article.

Using the tool presented above, OpenSexism has collected weekly data about gender diversity in a selection of 26 Wikipedia articles.
