Question about rotation

Hi @ all,

I hope it is okay to ask not (strictly) observable related questions here as well. If not just ignore or delete it.

I want to rotate a clifford torus and got it somewhat working here:

But somehow the rotation i am applying looks to “normal” and now i am unsure if i did a mistake and before sharing something that is wrong i thought here might be people, that know more about it than i do.

Are you rotating it about the fourth dimension as well as the regular 3? I think you might need a 5x5 matrix for that.

currently i am rotating around 2 axis (i think). Do you know any resource where i can read about this in more detail? Thanks for answering any way

You might enjoy @vorth’s notebook

oh nice! thanks for sharing. I will try to understand it

I’ve got a hypercube notebook that might also be helpful, I’m using 4D rotation matrices there. With this approach we can only talk about rotating in the 𝑥𝑤-plane for example, which leaves the other two perpendicular dimensions (𝑦 and 𝑧) fixed.

I figured it out, with the notebooks above!
thanks for helping me
