Hiring team or specialist for the new Peruvian Subnational Information Hub

Hi there,

I am the Public Policy Manager at the Peruvian Institute of Economics (IPE), one the most influential think tank in public policy affairs in Peru. I’m looking for an Observable specialist to develop the new Peruvian Subnational Information Hub that IPE will deploy in 2024. For this purpose, the starting point is the Regional Competitiveness Index (INCORE) website that IPE already possesses analyzing 40 indicators (grouped in 6 pillars: economics, infrastructure, labor, education, health, institutions) for the last 12 years across the 25 Peruvian regions.

Our objective is to significantly expand the INCORE platform to include more than 100 indicators for national, regional, provincial, district levels that we already have in storage. We dream that this renovated platform will allow us to offer a simple, fast, and comprehensive dashboard to analyze and visualize all policy-related data benefiting the public sector, private sector, academia, and civil society all across our country. Our current main references are OurWorldinData.

To achieve this goal, we are interested in hiring the best available developer (firm or specialist) that allow us to apply Observable to our new dashboard. At IPE, we are DataViz enthusiasts but do not have the capabilities to only consume the Observable software. Please contact me for further details.

Hello,

My name is Casey Ydenberg and I run a data-vis agency based in Canada. I’m a big fan of Our World in Data, and an early adopter of Observable Framework. I’ve been been building for the web for 10 years, and have worked on everything from small business websites to browser-based apps. Before that, I was a bioinformatics researcher.
