I had this on the backburner a few years ago and never got to share it, but I have a collection of notebooks that translates the original Vega-Lite Gallery examples from the JSON specification to the newer API format.
The code in the examples preserves the translations as close as possible to help readers understand the conversions between Vega-Lite’s JSON and API versions, so some examples are nonfunctional as an alternative workaround is necessary.
