I’m about to start a big project for work, so I wanted to do a UI project with tactile controls, and try out the new 2.0 notebooks.
The Daodejing is the foundational text in Daoism. It is about aligning yourself with the flow of the universe, and one of the only philosophies I know specifically about feminine virtue.
It is very worth studying and grappling with, but also dense and mysterious. I made this UI so you can listen to my favorite English translation while also studying the actual Chinese character. That way, you can start with the gist, and then once you have your bearings, study the specifics.
As a bonus, I made everything in small seal script, an ancient form of Chinese that is more pictorial than modern character, and my favorite form of calligraphy.
