It would be great to provide Opensearch for beta.observablehq.com, the same way talk.observablehq.com is providing it with https://talk.observablehq.com/opensearch.xml.
Thanks for the suggestion - looks pretty doable, I’ve opened an issue to see whether we can get this implemented soon.
