Out of curiosity: Why an RSVP for a virtual meetup? To meet the zoom limit for participants?

RSVPs for a virtual meetup, similar to an offline meetup are for various reasons. Example

  1. Track our own metrics:(interest from the community, how many sign-up vs how many attend
  2. Not all of the reasons but yes be aware of our zoom or other platform we may use number of participants
  3. Part of staying connected with the community and users through RSVPs.

@waynesutton thanks for directing the meetup! What are your thoughts on having some kind of “lounge” afterwards, so that discussions can continue for a bit?

Also, is anyone else interested in seeing who’s participating in a virtual meetup?

Yes,I love the thought. I should have kept the meetup open for a while longer so everyone in the chat could “chat”. Sorry about that.
