Ahh good to know. The maintenance splash screen does not link to that valuable resource, and guided me to here and twitter.

Looks like it (https://status.observablehq.com) - my guess is that the AWS outage this morning is still affecting the siteā€¦

Yes, this is an unrelated incident caused by an upstream outage. Please see https://status.observablehq.com/
