I have a notebook that has been evolving over the course of months, and every so often I want to share a version of it with a collaborator. Once I’ve shared that version, I typically don’t want my subsequent edits to the notebook to affect the notebook pointed to by the link I shared.
There are two clear ways to achieve this kind of “permalink” to a notebook version, as I understand it:
- adding the version number at the end of the URL.
- forking the notebook, sharing one of the copies, keeping track of which version has been shared, and taking care not to unintentionally edit that notebook.
Have I missed anything? I’m not subscribed to Pro, and not sure if Pro makes this any easier.
Thanks for any comments people might have.
