I assume the webkit bug applies to Ventura. I’m running Monterey.

Any other value than s=120
succeeds. Weird.
The avatars are marked as immutable for browser caching, so it’s possible that for a specific avatar you’ve got a bad copy cached. Maybe try emptying your cache and then reloading the page.
Thanks, I tried that, but to no avail.
I can live with (or without) it, so I will leave it as it is.
Martien, we will keep an eye out to see if others encounter the same problem. Really weird.
Thanks!
Even weirder: same computer, different user: same symptoms.
As I said before, this is likely a Safari bug that’s specific to your macOS version. Did you try what I suggested earlier?
I certainly did, but you’re right, I got swamped by the flood of messages. Even when filtering for Safari and avatar and such it gave me no clue whatsoever. I leave it for what it is. I guess it will be gone when I upgrade to a new Mac with Ventura or Sonoma.
It seems fixed?! Symptoms have magically disappeared. Don’t know why. Using same version of Safari Version 16.5 (17615.2.9.11.6, 17615).
Weird magic.
Case closed.
