We often use your tool in our work, but we really lack an algorithm that would track the overlap of labels and move them so that you can see everything. I saw it occlusionY initializer by Fil · Pull Request #1957 · observablehq/plot · GitHub As I understand it, this is what I need. And when will you implement it?)
