Mapping with Observable Plot

I hadn’t seen this done yet, so I wanted to try my hand at using Observable Plot to render a U.S. map. Required some quirky approaches, but seems to work pretty well!

Ah ha, no problem. I’m planning to work more on this in November, hopefully. Feedback and experimentations are more than welcome.
