Will the city of Trondheim, Norway, succeed in converting car commute into bike commute? I’m curious to find out.
Luckily we have live data from both road traffic observation points (cars) and bike counters.
After the first iteration I got feedback that it would be nice to see the car to bike ratio together with the weather condition. I then added the maximum temperature with colored text, and a blue dot where radius indicates the precipitation.
Here is the updated version:
I’m curious of whether showing “ratio” this way is the best solution, or if I should do something else. Like showing number of cars and number of bikes separately.
I am also curious to whether the blue dot indication rain is intuitive. May be it should be replaced with a “rain drop” shape?
All feedback are welcome.
