Its not that bad to bundle the assembly script toolchain and it gives Zig like performance for <2Mb of bloat. I was doing numerics and could noticeably feel the performance go up after a few seconds …and it was Javascript’s optimizations kicking in. With WASM you don’t get that, plus its faster anyway on bigger number crunching. Assembly Script is pretty small and pretty powerful so an actually good combination for Notebooks.
