I work as a documentation analyst in the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation at the José Simeón Cañas Central American University (UCA), attached to the P. Florentino Idoate, S.J., Center for Learning and Research Resources. I also serve as journal manager and front-end developer for the UCA Journal and Periodical Portal.

As an administrator of various information and research management platforms, I manage and provide support for systems such as Open Journal Systems (OJS) for the editing and publication of scientific journals, a Current Research Information System (CRIS) for managing institutional research information, and an Institutional Repository (IR) for the preservation, dissemination, and open access to academic output. My work encompasses the technical and functional administration of these platforms, metadata curation, interoperability between systems, and the implementation of best practices that promote the quality, visibility, and reuse of scientific output.

My research interests focus on Library and Information Science, with a special emphasis on research data management (RDM), the editorial management of scientific journals using Open Journal Systems (OJS), metadata curation, data visualization, user experience and user interface (UX/UI), bibliometrics, information management, and technological innovation applied to research ecosystems and knowledge dissemination infrastructures.

I am particularly interested in studying information management systems and scientific journals as objects of analysis, as well as in developing technological solutions that strengthen scientific communication, open science, and knowledge management.
