# Vega-Lite Gallery translated to API examples

Hi folks,

I had this on the backburner a few years ago and never got to share it, but I have a collection of notebooks that translates the [original Vega-Lite Gallery examples](https://vega.github.io/vega-lite/examples/) from the JSON specification to the newer API format.

The code in the examples preserves the translations as close as possible to help readers understand the conversions between Vega-Lite’s JSON and API versions, so some examples are nonfunctional as an alternative workaround is necessary.
