# Search dropdown sometimes gets in the way

It doesn’t seem to happen every time, but sometimes when I hit enter after typing in the search input box on [Search | Observable](https://beta.observablehq.com/search), the dropdown pops up again and covers up some of the search results. Clicking outside the dropdown doesn’t make it go away unless I first click in the search bar and then outside again.

I’ve seen this too. We’ll investigate and see if we can fix.

This has been fixed!
