# Repeating pattern creator

I always had this idea in mind and finally made it easily with Observable, and I like Observable mostly for these reasons:

1. Everything updates in real time.
2. You can create and edit notebooks on your phone.
3. Many useful things are already built in (inputs, imports, …).

This is very cool! Sort of like a cellular automaton that continues fractally or recursively instead of evolving “down” or “forward in time”. Though, by that analogy, I guess you could do a version where the value of one pixel depends on the value of its neighboring recursive parents, if that makes sense, lol…

(And I love and agree with that description of Observable!)
