# Mark edited notebooks which modificationshave note been published

It would be great, in [Observable: Build expressive charts and dashboards with code](https://beta.observablehq.com/notebooks/public), to mark the notebooks that have been edited, but which modifications have not been published, with the “upload” icon that shows in the edition page.

Moreover, it would be great to be able to publish it clicking on this icon.
