# Leaflet zoom controls interpreted as anchor links

There’s an issue with the Leaflet zoom controls. The buttons are being interpreted as links (the + and − are underlined), and clicking them takes you to the `#` anchor at the top of the page. I think this is related to the 2026-09-11 release (“Clicking an anchor link now scrolls and updates the address bar”).

It’s a bit hacky, but a short workaround is to remove the http # anchor so it is no longer intercepted by an enthusiastic Observable 2.0.
