Hi,
I’m excited about the potential of the new Observable, and I understand that it is a work in progress, but I do have feedback about the current state of the documentation:
It is really hard to figure out what applies to “old Observable” and what applies to “new Observable”.
For example, you have a really nice documentation website here: [Observable documentation](https://observablehq.github.io/documentation/) . And it includes a whole section on Notebooks: [Notebooks | Observable documentation](https://observablehq.github.io/documentation/notebooks/) , but much of this only applies to “old Observable”. My students, who will be using Observable for the first time will not be able to figure this out because it is not labelled in any way.
On the other hand, you have a collection of notebooks here: [https://observablehq.com/@observablehq/-/collection/documentation](https://observablehq.com/@observablehq/-/collection/documentation) that appears to be about “new Observable” (just guessing based on the recent modification dates), but again this is hard to discern if you aren’t already familiar with old vs new Observable.
I understand that the documentation will likely be a work-in-progress while you are busy building the new site, but it would be super helpful if pages were more clearly marked as either being about “old” or “new”.

Good feedback, thank you. I’ll add a banner to the old documentation (which is only linked to from Old Observable) so that it’s more obvious that it’s documenting Old Observable.
We are working as hard as we can to bring the documentation back into notebooks in the new collection and more updated documentation will be available soon. I just re-added [keyboard shortcuts](https://observablehq.com/@observablehq/keyboard-shortcuts) and expanded the help menu with more links.
