# An Observable 2.0 version of SankeyChart

I realise there are many many Sankey chart libraries out there, but in preparing my teaching materials I needed to create an Observable 2.0-friendly version of [SankeyChart](https://observablehq.com/@d3/sankey-component). In doing so I ended up creating a version with a few enhancements and improved documentation. It should remain backwardly compatible with the old API and may be useful for others converting to 2.0

I hope it appropriately acknowledges the original version from Fil and Mike, as this is an adaptation of it rather than something completely new.
